🍇 A single-vineyard blend of the varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Welschriesling, the grapes are lightly macerated for up to 5 days before fermentation. After fermentation, the wine gets aged for 20 months in Slovenian oak barrels.
🙌🏻 Notes of wet mudstone, white pepper, salt-preserved citrus skin, grapefruit, apple, and peach. The full-bodied, rich, and all-edges-off palate delivers incredible harmony and finishes with a lift of smoky spice. This is just the wine that reminds me that a great wine should taste great at every age, and that virtue doesn’t discount its long aging potential. A classic, fine white wine.

It captures the varietal essence and the virtues of a macerated version. Sweet, fresh, lightly bitter, aromatic, a strong fruity core, gently floral, and delicious tannins. If you are new to macerated Malvazija Istarska, this wine will offer you a high-level start.
😋 Also, if you love spicy Thai or Singaporean dishes, a well-made macerated Malvazija often makes a lovely pairing for that style of food!
