Reading Time: How many times must I proclaim my love for Sangiovese? The grape is undoubtedly best in its home of Tuscany. There are many appellations that are dedicated to Sangiovese including the famous Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino. Sandwiched in between both of these is the DOCG of

Reading Time: I love Sangiovese, period... It doesn't matter if the wine stands on its own or if it's a part of a blend. From the gorgeous Chianti Classicos that are blended with other local grapes or French grapes to the powerful, pure examples from Montalcino, it's a grape that my

Reading Time: Some grapes just speak to you. For me, that grape is Sangiovese. I love it in all forms, especially in its spiritual home of Tuscany. This 'blood of Jupiter' (where the name Sangiovese originates from) creates the great wines of Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino, and is included in

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Without a doubt, this is one of the best ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Without a doubt, this is one of the best Slovenian white wines.
๐Ÿ‡ A single-vineyard blend of the varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Welschriesling, the grapes are lightly macerated for up to 5 days before fermentation. After fermentation, the wine gets aged for 20 months in Slovenian oak barrels.
๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Notes of wet mudstone, white pepper, salt-preserved citrus skin, grapefruit, apple, and peach. The full-bodied, rich, and all-edges-off palate delivers incredible harmony and finishes with a lift of smoky spice. This is just the wine that reminds me that a great wine should taste great at every age, and that virtue doesnโ€™t discount its long aging potential. A classic, fine white wine.
๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Tasting @zarowines for the first time, an ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ Tasting @zarowines for the first time, and Iโ€™m blown away by this effort. Itโ€™s one of the best macerated Malvazija Istarska wines Iโ€™ve tasted. It captures the varietal essence and the virtues of a macerated version. Sweet, fresh, lightly bitter, aromatic, a strong fruity core, gently floral, and delicious tannins. If you are new to macerated Malvazija Istarska, this wine will offer you a high-level start.
๐Ÿ˜‹ Also, if you love spicy Thai or Singaporean dishes, a well-made macerated Malvazija often makes a lovely pairing for that style of food!
๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ In your opinion, how should a great example of macerated Malvazija Istarska taste like?
